ALAT Targets a Broader Customer Base with Exciting New Features on ALAT V2.4

ALAT, the first mobile online bank in Nigeria which recently won an award as the ‘Best Digital Bank’, has announced the upgrade of it’s app from v2.2 to v2.4. The upgraded version comes with 4 exciting features for users.

And, here are the new features on the app:

Loan service

Users can now request for short term loans on the ALAT app without the usual stress of queuing up in the bank. It also eliminates the usual paper work involved in getting a loan as all necessary documents can be uploaded on the app. Now you can request for a loan from the comfort of your house.

Virtual Dollar card

No longer do debit cards have to be plastic cards, ALAT introduces the Virtual Dollar card that allows users pay in dollars straight from their ALAT account without the usual hassle of sourcing for dollars when making foreign transactions.

It also gives users immediate access to the U.S dollars without necessarily owning  a domicilary account. It also eliminates the risk that comes with carrying cash and the stress of converting your Naira to dollars.Jjust like the ALAT card, the virtual Dollar card is also free for users.

Fund my account

This feature allows users fund their account without stepping into the bank. If there ever was a way of reducing the crowd in the banking hall, this is it.

Users can fund their account through various means: they can fund it through a direct debit from their Wema Bank account, through transfers from your account and also with the bank card from any Nigerian or foreign bank.

Card delivery tracker

ALAT v2.2 also allows users activate, lock and unlock their cards, with ALAT v2.4 users are also able to track their cards status anywhere they are.

In a post by ALAT, it had this to say  about the future of banking “We believe banking should and can be a true democracy where you have the power to control your finances. We believe banking should be as basic as breathing.”

This new feature sure does promise users a lot more than the usual  and we hope it lives up to expectations.
