The Founder, CWG Plc, Mr Austin Okere will be delivering the keynote address at the 2017 FATE Foundation Annual Celebration Ceremony which will take place in Lagos on the 7th of December.
Mr Okere will be speaking on the topic “The Future of Entrepreneurship” to the attendants. According to the Executive Director, FATE Foundation, Adenike Adeyemi, Mr Okere’s invitation is consequent upon his past achievements with CWG Plc and his remarkable mentorship role in innovation and entrepreneurship across the globe.

“Given your years of experience starting, growing and taking CWG Plc to scale and eventually transitioning to succession, we are inviting you to share your knowledge, insights and experiences on what you have learnt as an Entrepreneurial Leader over the last couple of decades particularly in a fast-changing industry and provide guidance to the graduating class on the traits an Entrepreneur must have to succeed and thrive in the mid to long term”, she says.
The FATE Annual Celebration is an annual graduation programme where graduates of FATE Foundation Aspiring and Emerging Entrepreneurs Programme as well as the Volunteer Faculty, Mentors and Consultants who have supported the programme in the year are celebrated.

The highlights of the event will include, the valedictorian speech, appreciation our partners and presentation of awards to winners in a number of categories. These include FATE Model Entrepreneur, volunteer Facilitator, Volunteer Mentor, Volunteer Consultant and Content Contributor.
This year’s event will have in attendance 116 graduates from the Aspiring and Emerging Entrepreneurs Programme and over 200 Mentors and Consultants who have Volunteered their time knowledge and experience.

They provide entrepreneurial courses and programmes through the FATE School of Entrepreneurship and also business support and ancillary services to alumni entrepreneurs.
About Austin Okere
Austin Okere is an Entrepreneur in Residence at Columbia Business School, where he received special commendation for his mentorship role in innovation and entrepreneurship. He was recognized with a Lifetime Entrepreneurship Achievement Award by the American University of Nigeria in 2017 for his dedicated service and outstanding entrepreneurial accomplishments.
Austin received the Nigerian Computer Society Special Presidential Award in 2016 and was named ICT Personality of the year by the Society in 2014. He was also named ICT Man of the Decade by ICT Watch Africa Digital Network in 2012 and was listed on the United Kingdom C.Hub Magazine’s 100 Most Influential Creatives in 2016.
