    Meet FinTech Giants, Iyinoluwa Aboyeji, Shola Akinlade at #KPMGDigitalSummit

    Leading Advisory Services provider, KPMG has unveiled the details of its 2017  #KPMGDigitalSummit, an event aimed at bringing together FinTechs, financial service institutions, government, private equity, venture capital firms and other key stakeholders in the financial services industry of the country, to discuss the present and future prospects of the industry. The event is billed to hold on November 1st, in Lagos.

    KPMG Digital Summit 2017 is a sequel to the Fintech Summit which held in November 2016 and attracted over 400 participants. On the motivation for organising the event, KPMG explained thus: “As a stakeholder in the financial services industry, KPMG seeks to facilitate discussions that will drive the sustainable growth and development of digital innovation to ensure delivery of value to consumers, businesses and financial services industry at Large.”

    The list of speakers at the event include Iyinoluwa Aboyeji, Co-Founder & Managing Director, Flutterwave, Shola Akinlade, Co-founder & CEO, Paystack, Ngozi Dozie, Co-founder, Paylater, Salami Abolore, Founder & CEO, Riby Finance, Victor Okigbo, Adviser, Financial Technology, Access Bank Plc, Razaq Ahmed, Co-founder & CEO, Cowrywise and many others.

    The areas of focus for this year’s summit include:

    1. The future of financial services – Transforming for the digital era
    2. Key lessons from economies leading in digital innovation
    3. Understanding the role of government and regulators in the sustainable evolution of FinTech
    4. Insights into how Open API can drive innovation and collaboration in financial services
    5. Fintech case studies – specifically in payments, alternate lending platforms and financial inclusion.

    Overall, the event seeks to highlight innovations that have address challenges in financial services such as improved financial inclusion, effective payments, better customer experience, access to alternative financing etc.

    According to the organizers, “With many countries competing to position themselves as the world’s leading financial services technology innovation hub, there is an increasing need to drive the sustainable development of digital innovation across Africa.” The event seeks to further to satisfy this need.

    Popular music streaming platform, Spotify has fina Popular music streaming platform, Spotify has finally expanded to Nigeria and several other African countries.

The company announced the expansion on Monday during its Stream On event for creators and partners. As the platform rolls out, music lovers in new markets will get to access content on mobile apps and in the browser. Apps for TV, consoles, speakers, wearables, and cars will be launched in the “coming months”.
