Popular Novel, “Animal Farm” by George Orwell, is being made into a video game.

According to Pcgamer, the team working on the game’s development is made up of exceptionally creative and technical talents. They will work on delivering the author’s vision in an interactive format. Rights for the game’s creation was given by George Orwell’s estate, and the game will be made in an ‘adventure-tycoon game’ format.

The game is bound to be interesting, as the players will take the role of one of the animals on the Manor Farm and will create their own journey through their choices, and so get to experience the consequences of their decisions firsthand.

Considering the negative calibre of governments in the recent times the world over, the game is envisioned to be very political and the team members are up for pressure from oppositions with a dedication to “maintaining an independent creative process; responsible only to George Orwell’s work and to the audience” Imre Jele, Founder of Bossa Studios and one of the game’s developers, has said.

Once again, technology is being introduced to play a vital role in human affairs, this time in politics. This game will not only help the younger generation have an individual feel of what it means to make right decisions when it comes to politics, but it will also bring to them, in a unique way, a book read by the older generation.

People are already showing excitement towards this project, and Nigerians should join in the thrill.

Nigerians will need to play this game. Hopefully, our choice of political leaders will become more deliberate and honest. This may also help in nation building. The date for the game release is to be announced at a later stage in the game’s development.
